ప్రపంచంలోనే అత్యంత శక్తివంతమైన డ్రగ్స్ మాఫియా డాన్ నెమెసియో రుబ్న్ ఒసెగుయెరా అలియాస్ ఎల్ మెన్చో (60) భద్రతా దళాల కాల్పుల్లో హతమయ్యాడు. ఆదివారం ఎల్ మెన్చో చనిపోయినట్లుగా మెక్సికో రక్షణ మంత్రిత్వ శాఖ తెలిపింది.
అసలు కథ ఇప్పుడే మొదలైంది. ఎల్ మెన్చో అలా హతమయ్యాడో లేదో మద్దతుదారులు రోడ్లపైకి వచ్చి రణరంగం సృష్టించారు. రహదారులపై వాహనాలను తగలబెట్టారు. ఆస్తులు ధ్వంసంతో పాటు నిప్పుపెట్టారు. పెట్రోల్ బంకులకు నిప్పుపెట్టారు. దీంతో ప్రస్తుతం మెక్సికోలోని నగరాలు పొగలు, మంటలతో ఎగిసిపడుతున్నాయి. ఇందుకు సంబంధించిన దృశ్యాలు సోషల్ మీడియాలో వైరల్ అవుతున్నాయి.
20 రాష్ట్రాల్లో 250కు పైగా వాహనాలు తగలబెట్టినట్లుగా మెక్సికన్ భద్రతా అధికారులు వెల్లడించారు. రోడ్లుబ్లాక్ చేసి.. రవాణా కారిడార్లను స్తంభింజేసి.. ఇళ్లల్లోంచి ప్రజలను బయటకు రాకుండా బీభత్సం సృష్టించారు. ప్రస్తుతం ఒక విమానాశ్రయం దగ్గర కూడా మంటలు ఎగిసిపడుతున్నాయి. ఎల్ మెన్చోకు మద్దతుదారులైన వారంతా ఈ ఘాతుకానికి పాల్పడ్డారని అధికారులు వెల్లడించారు. హత్యకు ప్రతీకార చర్యగా దారుణాలకు ఒడిగట్టినట్లుగా చెప్పారు. ఇక ఎయిర్ కెనడా, యునైటెడ్, ఏరోమెక్సికో, అమెరికన్ ఎయిర్లైన్స్ వంటి ప్రధాన విమానయాన సంస్థలు విమాన సర్వీసులను నిలిపివేశాయి.
ప్రస్తుతం పరిస్థితులు బాగోలేనందున ప్రజలు ఎవరూ ఇళ్లల్లోంచి బయటకు రావొద్దని జాలిస్కో గవర్నర్ పాబ్లో లెమస్ కోరారు. ప్రజా రవాణాను నిలిపివేశారు. రాష్ట్రం క్లిష్ట పరిస్థితుల్లో జీవిస్తోందని హెచ్చరించారు.

మెక్సికోలో అల్లర్ల నేపథ్యంలో భారత పౌరులకు కేంద్ర ప్రభుత్వం అడ్వైజరీ జారీ చేసింది. ప్రస్తుతం హింసాత్మక పరిస్థితుల దృష్ట్యా మెక్సికోలో భారత పౌరులంతా అప్రమత్తంగా ఉండాలని సూచించింది. తదుపరి ఆదేశాలు వచ్చేంత వరకు ఇళ్లల్లోనే ఉండాలనిని పేర్కొంది. అత్యవసరమైతే తప్ప బయటకు రావొద్దని, స్థానిక అధికారుల అప్డేట్లను ఎప్పటికప్పుడు తెలుసుకోవాలని తెలిపింది. సాయం కోసం రాయబార కార్యాలయాన్ని సంప్రదించాలని సూచించింది.
